Privacy Policy
In plain English: your images stay on your device. This page explains the little data that does exist.

Your images
Your images are processed in your browser and are never uploaded. ImagePixo has no upload feature and no server that receives images. We do not store your images on our servers, and we cannot see them, their file names, or the details inside them such as location or camera data.
The background remover and the passport photo maker use AI models. Your browser downloads the model files from us the first time you use those tools and runs them on your device. The files travel to you; your photos do not travel back.
What is stored on your device
ImagePixo saves a few things in your browser. They stay on your device and are not sent to us.
- Tool settings (localStorage). The advanced settings you choose in each tool, such as resize, quality or metadata options, and the background remover's model quality choice. They hold settings only, never file names or image data.
- A hand-off between pages (IndexedDB and localStorage). If you pick files on the homepage and then choose a tool, the files wait in your browser's IndexedDB so the tool page can open them. The tool takes them out and deletes them right away, and anything unused is deleted after about two minutes. A small flag in localStorage records which tool they are for and the time, without file data.
- A tip you hid (sessionStorage). If you choose "Keep PNG" on the PNG size tip, one flag hides the tip until you close the browser tab or window.
- AI models (Cache Storage). The model files and their runtimes, kept so you download them only once. They are large, from tens of megabytes up to over a hundred, depending on the tool and quality you pick.
The site's own code does not set cookies. To clear all of this, delete the site data for imagepixo.com in your browser's settings (usually under privacy or site settings, in "cookies and site data" or "clear browsing data"). The models will download again when you next use a tool that needs them.
Data collected when you visit
ImagePixo is hosted by Cloudflare. We do not keep our own server logs. Our hosting provider may process standard request logs, such as your IP address, browser and the pages you request, to deliver and protect the site. It does this under its own privacy policy.
The AI model files come from our model storage, Cloudflare (object storage). It sees the download request like any web server does, including your IP address and browser. Your browser requests those files without cookies, and the request never includes your images.
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use it to reply.
Analytics
We don't use analytics tools or tracking cookies at this time.
Advertising
We don't show ads at this time. If that changes, this page will explain how ads use cookies and how to opt out before they appear.
Third-party code
ImagePixo loads no third-party scripts that send usage data. Our fonts, image codecs and AI runtimes are served from our own site and storage, not from an outside network. The face-detection library used by the passport photo maker is pinned to a version that sends no telemetry, because later versions report usage to Google.
Some pages link to other websites, such as the U.S. Department of State or social media help pages. Those sites have their own privacy practices.
California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, gives you certain rights over your personal information.
Categories of personal information
- Identifiers and internet activity: your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you request, in the request logs our host may process.
- Contact information: your email address and message, if you email us.
We do not collect your images or their contents, and we do not collect sensitive personal information.
No sale or sharing
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to delete it, or to correct it. Because we hold very little, the answer is often that we hold nothing beyond ordinary request logs kept by our host.
How to make a request
Email hello@imagepixo.com and say what you are asking for. We may need to confirm it is you, for example by replying from the same email address. We aim to respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent to make a request.
Non-discrimination
We will not treat you differently, deny you the service or charge you more because you exercise your privacy rights.
Children
ImagePixo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it. This follows the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, for example if we start showing ads, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. We will not use your images in any new way, because we never receive them.
